Las organizaciones <\/span><b>CIAM<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> y <\/span><b>Adopta Bosque<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> enfrentan demandas, embargo (secuestro judicial) de cuentas bancarias y retenci\u00f3n de bienes tras cuestionar legalmente el proyecto Puerto Bar\u00fa en David, Chiriqu\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La noticia fue recogida por el diario <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/elsiglo.com.pa\/panama\/comunidad\/red-escazu-denuncia-embargos-contra-ongs-IL20092921\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El Siglo<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, donde se informa que la Red Regional Escaz\u00fa Ahora denunci\u00f3 los embargos contra estas organizaciones, recordando que la defensa del ambiente y la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana est\u00e1n protegidas por instrumentos internacionales y por la Constituci\u00f3n paname\u00f1a.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Un respaldo regional<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Red Regional Escaz\u00fa Ahora y la red <\/span><b>Climate Action Network Latin America (CANLA)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, nodo latinoamericano de <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Climate Action Network<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, manifestaron su preocupaci\u00f3n por las medidas cautelares impuestas. La Red record\u00f3 que Panam\u00e1 asumi\u00f3 compromisos internacionales claros para: garantizar el acceso a la informaci\u00f3n, proteger la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana y defender a las personas defensoras del ambiente.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una alerta regional donde se exhorta al \u00d3rgano Judicial, al Ministerio P\u00fablico y a las autoridades competentes a evaluar la legalidad y proporcionalidad de las medidas adoptadas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Este caso no se limita a dos organizaciones, marca un precedente sobre c\u00f3mo se trata a quienes ejercen el derecho a cuestionar proyectos que pueden generar impactos ambientales irreversibles.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b>Un precedente que importa<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La defensa ambiental, la denuncia de posibles impactos y la participaci\u00f3n ciudadana en asuntos de inter\u00e9s p\u00fablico no son actos ileg\u00edtimos. Son pilares esenciales de un Estado democr\u00e1tico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As\u00ed lo record\u00f3 la Red Escaz\u00fa Ahora: estas garant\u00edas est\u00e1n protegidas por la Constituci\u00f3n de Panam\u00e1 y por acuerdos internacionales suscritos por el pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las medidas de embargo y presi\u00f3n judicial contra organizaciones de la sociedad civil no solo afectan su funcionamiento operativo, env\u00edan una se\u00f1al preocupante sobre el espacio c\u00edvico y la libertad de participaci\u00f3n.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Tenemos el derecho a defender<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Defender el territorio no es una confrontaci\u00f3n, es una responsabilidad.
