Various local groups, scientists, and organisations have pointed out that <\/span><b>Puerto Baru in David<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0could put the David mangroves, artisanal fishing, tourism, and key species that depend on this ecosystem for survival at risk.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mangroves cannot be replaced; no progress can match the ecosystem value they provide, capable of protecting the coast, feeding communities, capturing carbon, and sustaining marine life.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Those who live here know it better than anyone. That's why coastal communities are already raising their voices.
